The official name of the new-to-us office building
that we are refurbishing is the Ironwood Way Station. Around Ironwood,
we like to have names that have a meaning to them. A way station was
where travelers along train and stagecoach routes could change lines to
get to their correct destination. Campers will stop and register at the
Ironwood Way Station and then proceed to the appropriate camp facility—Broken
I Ranch, Ike's Roost, or Rivertown. The hope of the Ironwood staff is
that Ironwood is a place of decision where
many make the decision to trust Christ, who is "the way."
John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto
him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the
Father, but by me."

March 13 Update from Pastor Walt: Things are moving
right along out at the Way Station; the Sowers (a group of volunteers)
are almost finished with the batting on all the plywood, only the west
end to go. Another volunteer put in the forms for the concrete, mortared
some cement vent blocks, and finished putting up the 4x4 knee bracing on
all the posts. Paul Bond (Miss Carol's dad) has started on the
electrical and Dave Heyboer is working with him, and has had a hand in
almost every project we work on out there. We continue to concentrate on
the exterior, so we can call for the inspection, hopefully by the end of
next week, we’ll see….lots to do yet. We started with 18 items to do,
last week we got it down to 14, and now the number is down to seven!
Praise the Lord, for the good progress, and for the Lord giving us all
safety on the job. The big items left to do are the stairs for the front
deck, the stairs and deck for the back doors, the hand rail on the front
deck, and all the electrical for the outside porch lights and plugs.
Plus we have to make up 10 plow disc light fixtures . . . we do have a
bit to do yet. Thanks for your prayers, and helpful support when we have
a special need.
