 Dennis
first came to Ironwood as a camper at the 2002 College & Career Singles'
Retreat. That summer he was a counselor at a camp in Alaska for four
weeks and became very interested in the camp ministry. After
graduating from Arizona State with a degree in industrial engineering,
Dennis begin working for Boeing. At the 2003 College & Career Singles'
Retreat, Dennis spoke to Sam Brock, our director, about being a part of the
Ironwood team. Dennis left Boeing and joined our summer staff as
a counselor. That fall he joined our apprentice staff; in the
non-summer months he works production for our publishing and promotions
departments. The
summer of 2004 he worked as a program assistant for the Rivertown Program
Team; he continues to help the summer program team at Broken I Ranch junior
camp.Jennifer, a.k.a. JJ, first came to Ironwood in 1995 as a camper. She was part of the summer staff team as Leadership Institute in 1997 and as a counselor in 2001 and 2002. She graduated from Pensacola Christian College in 2003 with a nursing degree. She joined our apprentice staff at the end of August 2006 and is the assistant to the senior program director. She enjoys the variety of tasks that she gets to do as a part of the camp ministry; she also appreciates the spirit of service among the staff team. Dennis and JJ were married on September 22, 2007. |
