Reservations are confirmed when the completed
registration form and the
required non-refundable registration fee are received by our office.
Spending money (for T-shirts,
souvenirs, snacks, trail rides, and crafts), sleeping bag, pillow,
flashlight, Bible, notepad, pen or pencil, towels, toiletries, and boots
or shoes with heels for horseback riding.
Optional: Suntan lotion, sunglasses, Chap
Stick, hat, sandals to
wear to the lake, camera, fishing rod, and tackle.
Do Not Bring: Food, pets, cigarettes, drugs, alcoholic beverages,
matches, fireworks, weapons of any kind, CD/DVD/MP3 players, cell phones,
pagers, electronic games and other electronic devices, clothing
promoting worldly activities, large amounts of money, or valuables. We
do provide a method of depositing money for safekeeping.
Parents and Adult Sponsors, please note: Please mark all luggage
and clothing with camper’s name. Because of the limited number of
phones, campers are not permitted to use the phone. Parents are asked not
to call their children during the camp week except in emergencies.
Special
Diets:
Because
we cannot accommodate various special diets, please bring your own
supplementary foods, if needed. A refrigerator, microwave, and toaster are available
to store and prepare special diet
foods. Food from a Homestead meal may be set aside for a future meal.
Gals: Any fashion worn must come at
least to the top of the knee. Knee-length skirts and dresses are encouraged, but not
required, for evening services. Slits in skirts must not come above the
knee and no bare midriffs. Clothing with a low neckline in front or back,
skin-tight shirts, or tank tops should not be worn. Loose-fitting slacks
or
jeans may be worn. Colored, modest shorts must be worn over swimsuits.
If the top of the swimsuit is not lined or has low necklines in front or
back, a colored T-shirt or tank top must be worn over it. A
large towel or cover-up must be worn while going to and from the lake.
Guys: Long pants and shirts with collars are encouraged, but not
required, at evening meals and services. Fashions that come to the top of
the knee are appropriate for activity times. Exposed undergarments
are not permitted. Swimsuits must be
modest, trunk-type suits.
Ladies and Gentlemen, please note: Ironwood reserves the right to
ask any camper to change his/her outfit if in the estimation of the staff,
it is immodest or too feminine/masculine.

Arrival
and Departure:
Everyone coming to an Ironwood camp, retreat, or conference
must register at the office. Please do so upon arrival. The office is open
at arrival times and each work day from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. First and
last meals, as well as registration times, will be announced in the brochure
for each camp.
Late
Arrivals: Should
your arrival be delayed for some reason, please call the camp office at
760.257.3503 to hold your reservations and to give us an estimate of your
arrival time.
What to
Bring: If you
have paid for lodging in a
western cottage with
the works, all linens are provided. Those
who are staying in a bunkhouse or western cottage without linens should bring a sleeping bag
or twin-sized bedding, pillow, and
towels. Everyone should bring a flashlight, Bible, note pad, pen or pencil,
toiletries, and spending money. Please call if you have questions.
You might also want to bring
suntan lotion, sunglasses, Chap Stick, hat, flip-flops to wear
to and from the lake, camera, and film.
Please do
not bring
pets, cigarettes, drugs, radios, tape players, fireworks, or T-shirts with
worldly advertising.

Tips: During
spring, fall, and winter camps, the weather in the desert varies from quite
warm to quite cold. Be prepared for either. For horseback riding, boots or
shoes with heels are encouraged for a safer situation.

Note: It is a
good idea to mark all luggage and clothing. Lost and found items not
requested within 30 days will be disposed of. Requested items will be
mailed at your expense. If firearms are brought, they are to be used only at
the shooting range and at scheduled times. They should be locked in your
vehicle at all other times. |
